Hi, I’m Heather. I’m a wife, mom, and certified health educator passionate about helping people know more and fear less. For years, I made healthcare decisions that were a bit unconventional, but I never felt confident about my choices because I lacked knowledge of how the system worked, and it seemed too confusing. Over the years, I’ve learned to listen to my gut, and I went back to school to know the truth about health. That experience helped me create a fear-shattering system that has helped me navigate this arena with increasing confidence. Now, I am here to share it with you! Together, we will cut through the noise and navigate the tricky landscape of insurance and doctor partnerships, medical conflicts of interest, the history of various medical procedures, and follow the money trail. Hey, mamas! 🌸 
We’re diving into a topic today that’s so close to my heart: the fear factor around health. With all the warnings and advice out there, it’s easy to get wrapped up in worry – but fear can actually mess with our health, both mentally and physically! In this episode, we’re exploring three ways fear can make you sick and confused and, just as importantly, three ways to break free and reclaim your peace.
Here’s what you’ll get in today’s episode:
Why fear sells and how constant exposure to fear-based messaging is impacting our physical health.
How adrenaline and cortisol (those “stress hormones”) can wreak havoc on digestion, gut health, and even our decision-making abilities when we’re in a constant state of worry.
The reality behind “orthorexia nervosa” – a fixation on "clean" eating that leads to stress and burnout.
My favorite way to interrupt fear’s hold: the Stop, Drop, and Roll method. Yep, just like they teach for fire safety! I’ll walk you through this simple process to get back to a calm, clear-headed place whenever fear creeps in.

My Story and Inspiration: Growing up in the 1980s, I was raised in an "outside-the-box" household—yes, with bologna bowls, Velveeta cheese, and natural remedies! But my mom’s willingness to explore unconventional options has inspired me to help others navigate this complex landscape, too.
The Role of Intuition: As moms, our intuition can be a powerful guide in making the right decisions for our kids. I share some personal stories about trusting my gut and how it’s shaped my journey through challenges like celiac sensitivity, tongue ties, and calls from the CDC (yep!).
Building a Community of Fearless Mamas: I want to create a supportive space where we can share knowledge, support each other, and feel empowered to make choices we believe in—without fear or judgment.
